MAD's Writing Rules

This is the area of the website where I will wax and wane philosophical about my views and opinions on topics I hold dear in the craft of writing.

There, I said it. Call me a megalomaniac if you wish. Still, you are the one reading this!

These rules are not meant to define the English language. You will not find them in any textbooks. I do not hold myself in that high of a regard. These are the rules that I write by. They work for me.

Read on, they may work for you as well. Or, you may find out that I am just insane. I will not judge you if that is your final prognosis.
